This afternoon we were visited by a bird that is not often seen in the UK.  A night heron,  which has been in the area for a few days, spent a lazy half hour sunning himself on the edge of our pond.  Bird enthusiasts have been scouring the river outside the guest house and Tresemple Pool just along the river path for 5 days now. We are pleased our ponds offered it a sanctuary from all the interest.
